History of the Mediterranean University

The private Mediterranean University of Tunisia was founded in 2004 in collaboration with the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Education and Research in Technology-Economy-Technology and Management, REMEREG.

The REMEREG network has also contributed to setting up UMLT Nabeul (MIT Nabeul), UMLT Montplaisir Tunis (MIT Tunis) and Ecole Polytechnique Méditerranéenne, Tunis, EPM (MIT polytech). These different institutions are independent.

This network brings together public and private European, North American and Tunisian universities. REMEREG and its members issue diplomas approved by the State. The growing success of the training courses since 2005 places them among the most important in Tunisia.

The REMEREG network delivers diplomas approved by the State of the first cycle to the title of engineer and doctorate of third cycle (by the French partners) in Europe. Immediately operational, the University diploma meets the requirements of companies, banks, institutions of Mediterranean schools and universities. Each member university of the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Education and Research in Technology-Economy-Technologies and Management, REMEREG, allows its students access to network resources and access to research databases such as JSTOR, Data stream, Diane, etc.

  • REMEREG has access to Cyberlibris and the online digital libraries of partner universities
  • REMEREG has also enabled its students to participate in the international conferences it co-organizes.
  • REMEREG also allows students and teachers to present their work and publish it in international journals.
  • REMEREG also finances research stays for its teachers and students in Tunisia and France.

Individual support throughout the course plays a fundamental role in the construction of the student's professional and academic project. The acquisition of skills accompanies personal development.

The programs thus enable everyone to achieve their professional aspirations..

THE ADVANTAGES OF THE TRAINING SYSTEM

  • A practice-oriented training that simultaneously uses IT, management and essential case studies in micro and macroeconomics, international economics, accounting and finance, business economics, history of thought, quantitative technique, in English to guarantee them the best level of knowledge at this stage of their course.
  • a truly bi-disciplinary training in Economics and Management thanks to a substantial volume of management teaching in the three years of the bachelor's degree.
  • Great flexibility in the choice of optional subjects in order to encourage the development of differentiated profiles that are more adaptable to the specific demands of the labor market, while allowing the choice of specialties to be made by selecting options drawn from fields close to analysis

Thanks to its close cooperation with world-class universities such as Cergy Pontoise University, Toulon, as well as the Euro-Mediterranean network for education and research in economics-technology and management, REMEREG, formed of 12 European, North American and Tunisian public and private universities and several other university structures and regional research laboratories, it remains the only university in Tunisia which has allowed dual masters courses (nearly 250 executives from the international financial system have been diploma)

By enrolling at the Mediterranean University, students will have the opportunity to benefit from state-of-the-art scientific and pedagogical support provided by a body of eminent university and professional teachers, studied prices as well as personalized assistance in order to guarantee good living conditions during the study period.
